Rules & Regulations

School Policies and Disciplinary Measures

Discipline is not just about rules in DAV.It is about building responsibility, respect and integrity. Our policies are designed to ensure that every student learns in a safe, structured and inspiring environment.

The school emphasizes self-discipline and mutual respect as the foundation of student growth. Students are expected to maintain decorum both inside and outside the campus, upholding the dignity of the school in behavior, language and appearance. Disciplinary measures are enforced not as punishment, but as guidance to help students reflect, correct and improve their conduct.

School Timings

To maintain a smooth and punctual learning routine, students are required to adhere to the school timings

Students are encouraged to arrive 10 minutes before the scheduled time to foster punctuality and discipline.

Pre - KG 8:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. III Std. to V Std. 8:45 a.m. to 03:40 p.m.
LKG 8:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. VI Std. to VIII Std. 8:30 a.m. to 03:50 p.m.
UKG to II Std. 8:45 a.m. to 03:15 p.m. IX Std. to XII Std. 7:50 a.m. to 03:30 p.m.

Note:

  • Saturdays are holidays for Pre-KG to V Std.
  • Late-comers are not permitted after the designated reporting time.

In order to maintain a sense of unity and discipline, DAV School, Adambakkam has established a specific uniform code for students from Pre.K.G. to XII Std. The uniform requirements vary slightly depending on the day of the week and the grade level of the students. Monday & Saturday Tuesday to Friday

Code of Conduct

Every student of DAV Adambakkam is expected to:

  • Refrain from using mobile phones, electronic gadgets, or social media during school hours.
  • Owning responsibility for the upkeep of school properties.
  • Wear the prescribed school uniform neatly and with pride.
  • Participate actively in academics, sports and co-curricular activities.

Any act of disrespect, bullying, or misconduct will be addressed through appropriate disciplinary action.

Recommendations to Parents / Guardians

Parents play a vital role in reinforcing school values and discipline. We request their cooperation in

  • Ensuring punctuality and regular attendance of their child.
  • Checking the school diary and communication notes regularly.
  • Monitoring academic progress and providing a supportive home environment.
  • Informing the school of any personal circumstances that may affect the child’s performance or behavior.
  • Attending parent-teacher meetings and school events to stay involved in their child’s learning journey.
